Everett Bud Samuel Boyer

Everett Boyer , age 83, of Herculaneum, Missouri, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Festus Manor in Festus, Missouri. He was born April 15, 1933, in Herculaneum, the son of the late Mary Blanche (nee Boyer) and James Silas Boyer.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Allen (nee Green) Boyer, and brothers Ray E. (the late Vivian) Boyer Sr., Milford (the late Betty) Boyer, and Lester J. (the late Myrtle) Boyer.
He is survived by daughter Susan (Chris) Wilson of Arnold, Missouri, granddaughter Shannon Wilson, special nephew Ray E. Boyer Jr. of Herculaneum, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was a retired dockworker for Consolidated Freightways in St. Louis, Missouri, for whom he worked for 40 years, and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a past member of the Herculaneum United Methodist Church, attended the Gene Autry, Oklahoma, United Methodist Church, supported the Buren Chapel A.M.E. Church in Herculaneum, and helped to rebuild the Indian Creek Baptist Church at Cross Timbers in Cooke County, Texas. He was also a former board member of the Gene Autry, Oklahoma, museum and attended numerous cowboy festivals nationwide with his wife.
Visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, February 16, 2017, at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus. Funeral at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 17, at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Martinous Walls, pastor of Buren Chapel A.M.E. Church. Interment with full military honors in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bud's name are preferred to Buren Chapel A.M.E. Church, 150 Brown St., P.O. Box 472, Herculaneum, Missouri 63048.
