Floyd Lee Cloninger
Floyd Cloninger age 79 of Crystal City, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 31, 2017 at Mercy St. Louis Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri. He was born September 26, 1937 in Ludwig, Arkansas, the son of the late Burlie Agnes (nee Pelts) and Virgil Bolin Cloninger.
He is survived by his wife Ruby Imalea (nee Sutterfield) Cloninger; son Anthony Brian "Tony" (fiancee Annette Grissom) Cloninger of Imperial, Missouri; grandchildren Wade Lee (fiancee Tiffany Thornton) Cloninger and Cheyene Hope Cloninger; great-grandchildren Wyatt Lee Cloninger and Jaxson Hunner Carson; sisters Loretta (the late Coye) Cunningham of Monet, Arkansas and Mary Jane (Terry) Elias of Leachville, Arkansas; and a brother Charles (the late Ruby) Cloninger of Leachville.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Roy (the late Evelyn) Cloninger, Ernest (Pat survives of Oklahoma) Cloninger, Wade (the late Mary Lou) Cloninger and Ray (Carolyn survives of St. Peters, Missouri) Cloninger; and an infant sister.
He was an Expediter for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Aircraft, retiring in 1999. He was a union member of IAM District 837, member of the Festus-Crystal City Conservation Club and an avid outdoorsman and Cardinals baseball fan.
Visitation from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Monday April 3, 2017 at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus, Missouri. Funeral services 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Terry Crank. Interment in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials in his memory are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
