William ‘Bill’ Nelson Wildish
William Wildish , age 67, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Herculaneum, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Long Beach VA Medical Center in Long Beach, California. He was born August 3, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Mary Jane (nee Sommers) and Robert S. Wildish.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (nee Simpson) Wildish of Festus, Missouri; daughters Kristy (Ira) Dove of Pevely, Missouri, and Abby (Jeffery) Wynn of Festus; brothers Daniel (Deb) Wildish of Sagle, Idaho, and Steve (the late Brenda) Wildish of Newport Beach, California; and grandchildren Cruz Dove, Sloan Dove, Molly Dove, Taye Dove, Nathan Dove, Pierce Wynn, and Sommer Wynn.
He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, a public school teacher, the former mayor of Herculaneum, a member of the United Methodist Church, and a former Republican Party Chairman for the greater Tucson area.
Visitation at Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus after 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 13, 2017, until the time of funeral services at 1:00 P.M., officiated by Rev. Terry Crank of Herculaneum, Missouri. Interment in Rose Lawn memorial Gardens in Crystal City. Memorials in Bill's name are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
